Graded Baseball Cards

  26 Lots       »

Lot 79.  1887 N172 Old Judge of Cannonball Crane, New York, Graded EX 5 by PSA. The card identifies the player as “Crane, P., New Yorks.” It is well focused and nicely contrasted.
Winning Bid $297

Lot 80.  SGC-Graded T206 of Elberfeld (NY) + a Vintage Culver Photo with the Same Pose. This card is a real beauty, and SGC graded it 60 EX 5. It is nicely centered with deep rich colors. Accompany the card is a 3 7/8” x 5 ½” b&w photo containing the same pose as the card. The photo, from Culver Pictures, or the “Culver Service,” shows light silvering and appears to be from the 1910s. However, a more recent Culver sticker, probably from the 1950s, is on the back. In the photo, Elberfeld wears a dark jersey with the letters “NY.” In the card, the jersey is white, letters across it say “New York,” and the collar is better defined. Wonderful and uncommon pair of collectibles providing insight into the production of the T206 cards. NOTE: THE CATALOG HAD A TYPO. THE PHOTO IS FROM THE 1910S.
