Lot 61. 1968 Laughlin World Series Test Issue Complete Set of 64. Laughlin apparently produced this set as a limited test issue. Adver- tising from the period indicates that only 300 sets were issued. The fronts are black and white, and the backs, red and white. These cards vary in size by as much as ½” from one to another. A number of them show a blue or red line along one border or more, indicating that they may very well have been hand-cut from a sheet on which the lines were hand-drawn to facilitate cutting. On the back of 63 cards is a line of text that reads “Write for entire set of 63.” The final card in the set, for the 1967 World Series, says “Write for entire set of 64.” Not taking into account the size variations, the set grades ex-m overall.
