Terrific wartime graphics adorn the cover of this album, which features “War Personalities, Heroes, Actions, War Planes and Film Stars.” Distributed in New Zealand to promote a brand of oats, it holds 36 regular-sized color cards and a larger print titled “Evacuation of Dunkirk.” All are glued into the spaces provided and average g-vg with some ex to ex-m. Notable personalities are Churchill, De Gaulle, Charlie McCarthy, Laurel and Hardy, Sonia Henie and Judy Garland. Although the album shows some wear, creasing, staining and separation of the center pages, it remains a superb memento of WWII.
Winning Bid $61.
