Lot 288.  1930s Counter Display Die-Cut Featuring Dizzy Dean and Brother Paul. This colorful 6 ½” x 4 ¾” point-of-purchase advertising display features the Dean Brothers in 1930s Cardinals home uniform. Each has a facsimile signature on his shirt. Their images are lithographed on stiff cardboard, which has an easel back. What this display promoted is uncertain. Shirts with Rice Stix cards? Cardinals tickets? Whatever the case, it is an attractive item that technically is g and displays very well.

Lot 289.  Magnificent, Scarce 1930s St. Louis Cardinals Pennant. This 11” x 27” heavy felt pennant presents two cardinals sitting on a bat against a red background. “St. Louis Cardinals” at the right is in large, block shadowed letters. The design is reminiscent of the traditional Cardinals logo, but the representation of the two birds is unique. The pennant has several tack holes and fraying at the tip. It is double-matted and framed to 18” x 34”. Great Cardinals display item!

Lot 290.  Colorized Panorama of the World Champion 1926 St. Louis Cardinals. Batters such as Hornsby, Bottomley and Hafey populated the Cardinals’ lineup that defeated the Yankees, 4 games to 3. Pete Alexander and Jesse Haines limited New York to six runs in the four games they started. The mint reproduction panorama is 6 ½” x 32” and professionally matted and framed to 16” x 40 ½”. Marty Marion personally gave this panorama to our consignor at a game in 1987. Superb display.

Lot 291.  Vintage and Modern St. Louis Cardinals Memorabilia Collection. The key item in this collection a metal example of the Cardinal mascot used in 1927 and 1928. The embossed Cardinal, about 3 ½” wide by 5 ½” tall, rests on a metal plate with a screw hole for mounting it. From the collection of a veteran Cardinals collector, it is vintage and scarce. Ex-m and very desirable. 2. 1 ¼” crossed bats pin with a Cardinal substituted for the bats. Ex. 3. Popcorn megaphone featuring the Cardinal mascot used from the mid-1950s to mid-1960s. Unused and ex with several small, light stains. 4. Used cloth patch with the same mascot. 5. A nm pen and pencil set from the 1950s. 6-8. Three Fraser 4” window decals with the 1967-97 mascot, nm. 9. 1946 greeting-style card. 10. 1940s “Seasons Greetings” card from the Omaha Cardinals with a unique cardinal. 11. 1964 Auravision record of Ken Boyer, ex. 12. Maga- zine picture of the 1931 Cardinals. 13. Reproduction card of Stan Musial. 14. 1983 TCMA card of five 1948 Cardinals pitchers. 15-19. 1966 “Busch Stadium Immortals” 1 ½” coins of Stan Musial, George Sisler, Jesse Haines and Red Schoendienst. 20-23. 3 ½” x 5” action photos of Ozzie Smith, Keith Hernandez, Bruce Sutter and Jim Kaat. 24-25. Two 1993 rosters. 26. Unopened 1983 puffy stickers. 27. Colorful Spinneybeck baseball in the original box. Nm-m. Several items mark the 1998 home run race between Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. 28. Two foil cards in a special presentation folder from the Danbury Mint. 29. Fleer “official 62nd HR 23 kt. gold commemorative card.” 30. Limited edition McGwire “Commemorative Transporter” truck from White Rose Collectibles. These last three items are mint; the Fleer card and truck are unopened in their original packages.
