Lot 3.  1961 New York Yankees World Series Team Set of 40 Autographs. Whitey Ford, Bobby Richardson and Hector Lopez starred as the Yankees dispatched the Cincinnati Reds in five games. This collection consists of manager Ralph Houk, his coaches and every Yankee player who appeared in at least one full inning. The autographs of Ford and Yogi Berra are on Perez-Steele postcards. Mantle signed a Celebration card. Their signatures are 10s. Roger Maris signed an unlined index card with a 10 ballpoint signature. Others who signed unlined index cards are: Tex Clevenger, Frank Crosetti, Bud Daley, Joe DeMaestri, Al Downing, Ryne Duren, Bill Gardner, Jesse Gonder, Bob Hale, Jim Hegan, Elston Howard, John James, Deron Johnson, Danny McDevitt, Jack Reed, Wally Moses, Hal Reniff, John Sain, Rollie Sheldon, Ralph Terry, Lee Thomas, Earl Torgeson and Tom Tresh. These players signed Topps cards: Luis Arroyo (1961), John Blanchard (1962), Clete Boyer (1961), Art Ditmar (1959), Houk (1961), Lopez (1966), Richardson (1962) and Bob Turley (1960). Lot 16.  1960 Pittsburgh Pirates World Series Team Set of 32 Autographs. During their march to the 1960 World Championship, the Pirates fielded 25 players, manager Danny Murtaugh and six coaches. Offered here are autographs of every member of the team, including Roberto Clemente. The Hall of Fame outfielder’s signature is on an index card with one vertical and one red line. He signed “With Best Wishes to John, Roberto Clemente.” The ballpoint signature is a 10. Other team members and the medium they signed are: Gene Baker, 1960 Topps card (TC). Smoky Burgess, 1959 TC. The others are overwhelmingly 10s with a few 9. For display purposes, the cards come with reproductions of the covers of the 1960 Pirates yearbook and World Series program. Lot 142.  11” x 14” Color Photo Signed by 500 Home Run Hitters - Mantle, Mays, Killebrew. The signatures of Harmon Killebrew, Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle are 10s on this ex-m photo. These sluggers rank eighth, fourth and 13th, respectively, on the all-time major league home run list. Together, they accounted for 1,769 home runs. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 143.  Signed 8” x 10” Photo of Great New York Center Fielders - Mays, Mantle, Snider. In the 1950s, New York baseball fans could watch three of the best ever to patrol center field - Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle and Duke Snider. The three Hall of Fame sluggers signed this color photo, and their signatures are 10s. Matted and framed to 11 ¾” x 13 ¾”. Authen- ticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 146.  Rare Signed Photo of the Ripken Baseball Family - Cal, Cal Jr. and Billy. Our consignor obtained these photos in person beginning in 1983 with the elder Cal Ripken. Cal Jr. was the last to sign, and after doing so, he gave the other autographs his stamp of approval by affixing his #8 hologram. The Ripkens wear Orioles uniforms in this 8” x 10” color photo, which has a very light crease in the lower left corner. The autogaphs are bold blue shapries. Cal Sr. passed away in 1999. Lot 151.  Autographed Copies of Cal Ripken’s 1982 Donruss, Fleer Rookie Cards. The cards are 1982D #405, which is nm, and 1983F #176, nm-m. To both cards Ripken added “1982 Rookie of the Year.” The signature on the Donruss card is a 10. The Fleer signature is strong with incomplete ink coverage at the edges of the letters. Their signatures are 10s. Lot 153.  Signed Gateway Envelopes for the HoF Induction of Chandler, Mays and Mize. The Gateway Stamp Co. produced these envelopes to commemorate the HoF enshrinement of Willie Mays in 1979, Johnny Mize in 1981 and A. B. Chandler in 1982. Each envelope, postmarked on the day of induction, features a cachet portrait. Each enshrinee signed his envelope with a bold sharpie 10s. Authen- ticated by Kevin Keating.
