Lot 136. Rare OAL Cronin Baseball Signed by 27 Members of the 1966 A.L. All-Star Team. Before there were Official All-Star baseballs, Major League Baseball used official league balls for its All-Star Games. This ball, ex and possibly game-used, is signed on the sweet spot by Sam Mele, manager of the A.L. squad. It is signed by six HoF players - Hunter, Kaline, Killebrew, Frank and Brooks Robinson and Yastrzemski. Other signers are Battey, Bauer, Bell, Cash, Colavito, Etchebarren, Freehan, Fregosi, McAuliffe, McLain, Oliva, Richardson, Richert, Scott, Siebert and Stottlemyre. The signatures, all readable, are generally 6 and 7s with some 8s. Rare signed ball. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
